I had an amazing time yesterday talking to a group of NASA-affiliated astrophysicists and engineers. Why? To discuss how lucid dreaming is an unrealized skillset for space travel. From designing experiments and staying open to intuitive ideas, to working with fear and other difficult emotions under stressful conditions - it's clear that lucidity is a valuable and powerful skill for space explorers and the scientists who support them.

If astrophysicists could get a lot out of lucid dreaming, what can it do for you?

That's what I love about this work. We all have our own focus, creative loci and soulful yearnings to connect to our deeper minds.

The real work is identifying your most challenging (or grounded, or passionate) need and then applying dreamwork to create a safe container to play with possibility.

So if you do dreamwork of any kind (lucid, precognitive, ancestral), clarity around your intention is key.

What do you want to know?

Where are you stuck?

What is needed that has not been addressed before?

This is the skill of dream incubation. It's foundational for any kind of advanced dream practice.

You will not have success with lucid dreaming, calling guides, or healing if you don't focus the power and clarity of your intention using the time-honored ritual practices of incubation.

And you certainly won't be blasting off into space, inner or outer.

After teaching about liminal objects to a number of communities, including the Rhine Research Center and the Institute for Dream Studies, it's time to expand the practice for a three week immersive training.
